Mini Me Fashion

Elle Magazine recently wrote an article about 22 designer labels that have extended into creating children’s collections ( . High end labels like Versace, Gucci Fendi and Burberry create beautiful pieces for children- and the price tags show it- but lots of lines have kids and adult sectors.

Some of our favorite lines that cross the ages are Splendid, Ella Moss, Joe’s and Desigual, and Lucky Brand coming in the spring. These easy to wear brands have well loved adult lines, known for their lush fabrics, bold patterns, classic denim. These  brands are some of our personal favorites for a number of reasons- style, fit and quality- and we LOVE having them in store for girls.

As tweens seek fashion independence we find that two of the most aought after qualities of new clothes are material and fit. Cooped up in school all day an itchy seam or scratchy tag can drive a girl crazy! Super soft leggings, tanks and tunics are some fo our best selling items- as they should be, who doesn’t want to be comfortable?! Splendid, Ella Moss and LA Made all make great quality, super soft basics and fashion pieces. The other key factor for tween fashion we find is fit.

As girls are growing-up, out, in all directions- how clothes fit becomes more important than it was when your girl was younger. All the denim we carry at Jovie has some degree of stretch to it. We also make sure to carry more than one denim line for girls- we have some for the tall and skinny twig, some for the girl growing into her curves, and some with adjustable waist bands for the little ones shooting up like weeds. When we do our buying we work hard to ensure that we have options for girls of all shapes and sizes, we want all girls to find a comfortable fit during these trying times of growth.

We are SO happy to have for sale amazing, comfy, quality clothes for girls from our personal favorite brands, and excited to see where this trend of mini-me fashion will take us next!!
